Question
my 2 males were neutered about 2 months ago. and they were friends through all that time until now, i looked into the hutch this morning and found loads of fur which was painfully obvivious it was pulled out by my other rabbit. the dominant one used to only give my other rabbit a little nip if he was in the way of him and it didn't really seem to bother pebbles (weaker rabbit) and he would just move. they are not fighting and can live together  but now the dominant one wont let pebbles to the food bowl....well he will but pebbles is too scared to go near him now. and now popcorn (dominant rabbit) is relaxing in the top part of the hutch and pebbles is just at the bottom of the stairs which is in the run because he is too scared to go up. but popcorns not all bad, he sometimes comes down and grooms pebbles. but they cant go on like this, pebbles cant live at the bottom because its too cold and the water is upstairs and we don't have another cage and we cant buy one. what can i do!?!

Answer
Dear Ellie,

Unfortunately, this happens sometimes, especially between rabbits of the same sex.  I would not separate them completely, since they do appear to be bonded.  But I *would* bring them inside and make sure they're house rabbits so that both can have plenty of space to interact (or not) as they wish.  This will eliminate the cold weather problem, and be much better for everyone's health and wellbeing.
