rabbit acting sick

I have a dutch rabbit- don't know how old he is. I just found him about 2 weeks ago and was forced by my child to keep it.

He has the attitude of a dog. He loves to be held always, and begs to be let out of his cage.

The other day he was fine, then the next time I saw him - an hour maybe- he was totally different. He had just ate some pellets - he always eats with no problem- and then he started acting like he was throwing up - his mouth was open and kept sticking his tongue out like humans do and the green pellets -mushed up - came out. I have read that rabbits don't throw up - but there was definitely something going on there. Anyway, since then he has not been the same, he will eat some and drink some but he doesn't have the energy he used to . He did't poop for a few hours and wouldn't eat, but then he started doing both again. It seems like he is getting better for a while then it seems like it starts again.

I just went out and bought gas peds. drops and was going to try those. This just happened this weekend so I had to wait until today to talk to the vet- which none in the area really do rabbits. So it will be tomorrow before I can take him.- Sorry it's so long - but I need advice.

I am sorry Juie - what is gas peds drops ?  Pediatric drops for gas ?

What kind of pellets are you giving him ?  If they are the pet store kind that could be the problem.  Pet store brands are notorious for problems because they put to much carbs in, not enough protien or fiber.  How does his poop look ?  Round hard dry balls ? Big small ?   I would try giving him a few 1 inch cubes of fresh papaya with the peel, plus you can also give him the peel of a banana
( not the pulp - just the peel.)  If he has a blockage of the intestine the papaya will unblock him and the banana peel with give him fiber to clean him out.  If he is not drinking enough water he can get dihydrated - you can put some electrolyte power in his water.
