hi there! please help....i work in a vets practice and having trouble with a case. Its a uneutered male a year and a half old. its had previous problems with ear mites which has been on treatment of injections and topical. The ears have been check and are 100% better from when we first started. came in now for hair lose on the external part of both ears, he has completely pull its hair off and from no where else, which i am totally puzzled about. the only thing i can think of is fur mite but it hasn't come off the mite treatment which should cover  for fur mites?there is dandruff on ears and back of neck. could it be stress or anything else? any suggestions would be great

This does sound like the mark of Cheyletiella parasitivorax (fur mites).  And my question to you would be:  what anti-mite medication is the rabbit taking?  We use only Revolution, which is very effective against this type of mite (and others), and administer it at a dose of 6mg/kg once every 3-4 weeks.

If you have not tried Revolution (selamectin), then that's what I'd do next.  Other than that, please read:
