QuestionI have noticed the past few days my female lop rabbit (18 mo.old) seems to always be wet with urine in her tail area and the inside of the thigh area of her hind legs is missing a little hair and the skin is bright red and irritated. She seems to be uncomfortable to me. She has a cage in the house with a litter box that I change twice a day, and she spends the majority of her days on our screened patio where she runs free. I supply her with ample timothy daily, about 1/4 cup of alphalfa pellets daily, and lots of fresh greens (endive, cilantro, parsley, romaine) and oh yes, did I mention 3 red seedless grapes daily. What do you think?
AnswerDear Diana,
I think your bunny has a urinary tract problem that needs veterinary attention. Please read:

and find a good rabbit vet here:

If she is not spayed, now would be a good time, since uterine problems can also contribute to incontinence.
To help cure and prevent the urine burn (very painful!), please read:

I hope this helps.
