Question
I have three rabbits and i am worried about them running away. it is possible to put tags and collars on them or could they be injured?

Answer
Very few rabbits like to wear collars.  A better alternative would be microchipping.

The cost on this varies.  I think I paid $25 or $35 each when I've had my dogs and cats done.  Some shelters will have specials, where at reduced cost, you can get your animal chipped.  Many vet clinics offer microchipping as well.  Once chipped, you can register your animal at a web site that provides all your contact information and info for a backup contact person.

Getting the chipping done is like a very big shot.  It's over very quickly.  My cats and dogs handled it better than other shots.

There are different brands of microchips and not all of them are compatible with competing readers.
So you may want to find out what brand microchip animal control and the shelters in your area use.

If you want to educate yourself on the issues of microchipping, a vet has written a three part series on it here:
