Question
Hi Dr.Dana, it's the sinus bunny again with a new question; One thing I noticed as of last night, should have noticed before, Fritzy used to always slobber when he had his greens, always, and did so worse when he needed a dental done. Now, ever since he has had that wheez, there has been no slobber or stains on his face? Just that he sounds so watery in his nose and mouth when he does have greens? Could this be a clue to the problem? We may be cancelling his dental on the 22nd, since he shows no signs of "needing a dental" and maybe instead getting an xray somewhere else to see if it shows the molar root or not is impinging on the sinus. Thoughts appreciated.

Answer
Dear Robin,

I can't imagine a connection between the lack of slobbers and the onset of the wheezing.  It might be a Red Herring, in this case.  Unless he had really *massive* tear production that was draining (normally) into his throat and then backing up because of his dental problems, I can't see how a sinus blockage could be associated with a lack of drooling from molar spurs.

Unless I'm just not using my imagination enough.

But for now, those are my thoughts.

Dana
