Empty Testicle

Hello Dana,

I have a boy with 8 months, and he had his normal testicles... but yesterday I saw that one of them is empty!!

What could be happened? I'm confused.

He is not neutered and I will take him to the vet to talk about neuter surgery.

Dear Cintia,

The testicles are, to some degree, retractable into the abdomen.  When the bunny is upset or frightened, as when being held on his back for an exam, he might well draw one or both testicles up into his abdomen until he's calmed down.

If the testicle has not reappeared in a little while, he should be seen by a rabbit-experienced vet.
