Pet rabbit ate Chrysanthemums

Question
Just brought some Chrysanthemums into my house to keep over winter.  My rabbit started to eat them, so I put out of reach.  Then I went to the web & saw that it was bad for them.  Is there something I should watch for in the next couple of days?  Is it correct that they should not be eaten (no matter how much the rabbit may enjoy them)

Answer
Hi,

if it were me, if you have activated charcoal at home in your med kit, I'd give some to your bunny through a syringe feeder (mix with water) and get your bunny in to a rabbit vet immediately.  Call ahead and tell them what happened so that they can get be ready for you when you get there.

If you need to find a good rabbit vet around you go here (go to a good rabbit vet especially because this is an emergency, you need a rabbit-savvy vet):

www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html

to find a House Rabbit Society recommended vet near you.  If you already have one call them and tell them what happened, it's an emergency and you're coming in.  They should accomodate you for an emergency case.

don't wait, get in immediately.
