Question
My bunny will sometimes sneeze, should I worry about it? The discharge will sometimes be thick and whitish and others it will be clear. He is a 3 year old Lionhead. I'm concerned of his health and wellbeing. I have read about snuffles and I know it may not be serios. I only want to know if I should call my vet or not. If you have any sujestions to stop him from sneezing that would be great! thank you!

Answer
Hi,

if he has thick, colored discharge it would probably be good to get him in to your regular, good rabbit vet.  They are nose-breathers and really need their nose to be clear.  Plus their lungs are so small and the infections can travel to other places in the sinuses.

The other times he may have gotten hay dust in his nose or fur he's sneezing out.  Sometimes household cleaners and fumes and such can cause sneezing.  Lots of what makes you sneeze make them sneeze.

But I'd take him in for the other discharge.  If you need a good rabbit vet go here:

to find a House Rabbit Society recommended vet near you.
