Scent glands

Is Scent glands cleaning necessary for rabbit health?

Hi,

it seems to be an issue with certain rabbits.  I personally do not clean them.  Unless there was a real bad (unusual) odor that would make you think there's some kind of infection there, I generally do not clean them.    

I probably would be more concerned and would clean them, if they were overweight and had a 'messy butt' problem around their vent area.
