Question
Hi there! I just have a quick behavioral question, I know it isn't written in your expertise but I'm sure you have dealt with more than 1 spayed rabbit before... I just was curious if intensified chewing and digging (like eating a hole the size of a softball in my couch) was normal 4 weeks after being spayed, and I have literally tried everything short of adopting a friend for my lop. She also still growls, grunts and lunges at me when I am close to my time of the month; she used to go into false pregnancy every month as well but thankfully she has stopped nesting! If you have any ideas on what I can do to deter the chewing or when this frenzy may calm down that would be most helpful and appreciated. thanks so much!

Answer
Hi Andrea. I have never personally dealt with neutered rabbits. All of my bunnies are intact show rabbits. I have studied about the effects of neutering and have many resources but none that describe what you are going through. You might try contacting the House Rabbit Society. They promote the neutering of pet rabbits and have lots of knowledge of house bound bunnies. I sure hope you can find an answer to this. I have ran into a couple of nasty tempered gals (bunnies) before that growl and bite, but never one that would destroy the furniture. I do hope you can get this straitened out.   Pat                                           Let me know how this turns out for the two of you. I know how frustrated you must be,
