Question:
one on the females has a small lump under her mouth (chin) it is hard and not attached to the body as i am able to feel the whole lump, my concern is what is it?, i am an animal care student and own 14 rabbits but have never come accross this before. Is it fatty tissue?, Cancer?, An Abs? What would need to be done about it and when as she is so young. i am keeping this one with two others but would like to know what you think about this and what is the best route to follow. Thank you corrina.

Answer
Dear Corrina,

If it's moving freely with the skin, that's a good sign.  But without seeing it and feeling it, I can't know what it is.

It could be a small abscess, a little fibroma, a wart, or--less likely--a tumor.  But only a good rabbit vet doing an in-person exam will be able to tell you for sure, and determine whether it needs treatment.  You can find a good vet here:

I hope this helps.
