Aggressive behavior after separation

Question
Hello,

I have two neutered 3 yr old rabbits, one a mini rex and the other I'm not sure. They are very good close, constantly grooming and cuddling each other, but have had a history of fighting before they were neutered. They've been good for about 2 years now.

Last week, I had to take Buster, the submissive one, to the vet because he has cataracts. He is basically blind now, and after spending 2 days in the hospital, I brought him home and put him back in the cage with Chip, who is now showing signs of aggression. Chip has always been the dominant one, licking Buster's eyes. Now, he keeps nipping at Buster and circling. I noticed he is licking Buster and then putting his head down on the ground, as if to ask Buster to groom him (if I am interpreting this action correctly). But since Buster is blind now, I don't think he sees it, and thus is ignoring Chip.
Could this explain the behavior??
Thanks!

Answer
hi amanda chip is trying to show buster that he is the dominant one but as buster is blind he is not reacting as he should -i think thy will settle down ,it may take a couple of weeks so just keep a good eye on them and if chip gets to aggressive you may have to split them up.
