Question
hi,
first of all thank you so much for your time.
my netherland dwarf is about 4 months old and i got him when he was only 6 weeks old. i had intended for him to be an indoor bunny so i litter box trained him from day one. however, for about a month,he would suddenly forget how to use it. whenever i clean out his box,he would start peeing on the floor or the bedding until i put some of his urine in the litter box and then he will remember. he did fine for the first couple of months, why is he suddenly forgetting now?

also, although he was litter box trained for his urine, he never ever learned to put his "pellets" in there as well. i want to let him roam around the house, but i can't let him do that when he keeps pooping everywhere... do you have any tips for that?

i was thinking of neutering him. do you think that is a good idea?

finally, i have bought him chew toys, rabbit toys, toilet paper rolls, stuffed animal toys, everything i can think of but he doesn't play with any of them. i heard rabbits like to play and chew but he does neither. i even let him roam around the house looking to see if he will chew on furniture like i had been warned but he doesn't. also, he licks everyone all the timelike a dog.. its cute but is that normal?

thank you very much for your time and i hope to hear from you soon

Answer
Hello Jenn

Put some peed on litter in his litter box after changing the cage, also some rabbits will lick other will bite some dont bother with people at at while others wont leave your side. Its best to get him neutered because he will start to "spray" and this is anoying, also they will get distructive once mature and wont make very nice house pets.
