Bunny Losing Hair under chin and Cheek

Hi,

Im really freaken out? My Bunny was taken to a vet and checked out and it happens that he doesnt have molars and 1 side of his cheek a patch of hair is missing and now hes starting to lose hair under his chin.  They gave him medication a week ago and he finished it? What could be wrong.

Dear Diane,

Dental problems will cause chronic drooling.  Please ask the vet to check the molars again and see if there are any dental problems that could be causing the drooling and hence, the fur loss.

Your bunny may have a jaw abscess that needs treatment with a much longer course of antibiotics than you were given.  Please also see:
