Question
i have a 3 female lop rabbits, all 10 weeks old. All bought togeteher sunday, all seems to be fine but one of them hasn't settled in as much as the others. she has up set stomach and is in her bed alot, drinking a little bit but i haven't seen her eat. im worried about her and when she sits on my lap she doesn't move at all. should i take her to the vet?

Answer
Hi Jaz

Yes absolutely she needs to see a vet as soon as possible.  Young rabbits are very susceptible to enteritis and if not caught early it can kill them.  The best thing to do for this little one is to take her to a vet and they will take a fecal sample to check for worms and other illnesses.

Make sure all the bunnies are getting plenty of fresh timothy hay.  You should actually give them as much hay as they want along with their regular diet.  This will help their stomachs during their growing stages.  It also helps keep their teeth from growing to long.  Adult rabbits also need unlimited hay, just something to think about when they get older.

Good luck with your little sick bunny.  I truly hope she is ok.

Sincerely,

Pam
