QuestionI have an 8 month old potbellie who is pregnant and ready to deliver. The culprit is a 7 month old mini male who we thought was only 7 weeks old when we took him in as a rescue. The vet said basically that pigs, especially pot bellies, don't necessarliy die when they are food deprived, they just don't grow. (he is actually 7 Mos) Question: What exactly is a milk line? and when does it appear? PS the male was neutered almost immediatly!
Answer The milk line is when the udder drops and seems separate from the belly.
You can almost see a "line" there.
This developes about a week or less before delivery.
Glad you got the male neutered, there are many unwanted pigs, sadly.
Good luck,
Pris
