3 month old pot belly pig not eating

My hub just bought me my first pig. His name is Wilbur, he is 3 month old male. The farmer said to feed him rabbit pellets mix with chicken feed. I did that and Wilbur hasn't even touched it. I also tried damping the food with water to make soft, but it really didn't make a difference.It has been 5 days now.The farmer also told my hub that if I want to form  bond to bottle feed cats milk to him. I did that but Wilbur licks it from my hand. He did eat a whole head of lettuce . But that's really it. He does drink his water as well. He lives outdoors and sleeps with my dogs, who are protective over him, and likes to play w/ his ball. I've only had him for 5 days now. It make me nervous that my pig is not eating like a pig. I got home from work around 5:00 pm and Wilbur just wnted to sleep. He wasn't interested in eating grass I gave him or any thing. He slept on through the night. Do baby pigs sleep a lot ? Pleas help! Thank you!

Piggy has just been through a pretty stressfull ordeal, being taken from everything he knows and thrown into a new place with nothing familiar. It is not unusual for piglets to skip their first meal or two

But after 5 days, piggy should be eating. Chances are piggy was not really weaned. First, give piggy some goat milk, sow replacement formula, or something like Boost or Ensure for people. Offer piggy some at room temperature. Get some mini pig pellets, ideally, mini pig starter pellets. Mix them with warm water to make a soup, and add a little milk to it.

If he likes veggies, that's a good thing. Keep going in that direction, offer him any veggie you are eating.

Also, make sure he is warm enough. Piglets need warmth. Give him loads of fresh straw and a dry, windproof shelter.

Baby pigs do sleep a lot, but usually only a few hours at a time. Pigs really do follow the "early to bed, early to rise" routine, so it's normal for them to get up very early, or even in the middle of the night, to walk around, go potty and maybe eat
