Just spayed pbp

Sophia   Sohia was spayed a day and a half ago and still hasn't pooped.  She ate regular that night and more than usual yesterday.  There is no distension of her belly, pain or lethargy.  How long can it take for her to poop after this surgery with no problem?  She is 8 months old and 25#s.

She should poop within 3 days. You can encourage the process by giving her lots of belly rubs and some canned pumpkin (plain, not the pie mix stuff). Then about 8 hours later, get her feet wet. If that doesn't help, try a ride in the car. If all these remedies fail, contact the vet who did the spay.
