Question
I have a 2 month old inside pot belly pig ... lately we noticed that she has had hair loss, severe itching, and a orange tint to her skin ... I believe this is Mange Mites I have read several ways to get rid of them but am skeptical about a few! I would grately appreciate some advice!
Also I bought her pot belly feed from a feed store and she won't eat it so we tried gerber baby cereal mixed grain and she seems to enjoy that ... I'm just worried she won't get the right nutrition from it as time goes by ... any advice on that too would be apprecitated!!!

Thank you! Crystal

Answer
Hello,
The best way to get rid on mange mites is to use Ivomec wormer.
You can get it from a Vet.  He will give you the apropriate amount for the weight of your Pot.  He will need at least two doses in 10 to 14 day intervales.  You shuld probably be treatd also.  You will need to contact your Doctor to see what he prescribes.
As far as nutrition goes...the very best feed out there in called Infinity Plus Starter Chow and the Infinity Plus Vit/Mins.  This combination is made for indoor pet pigs and will make sure he has all the nutrients he will need for optimin health.
