why dose my girl run around?

Hi I just got my first rat and I love her very much! I've always loved rats. I would like to know why she runs around so fast it's like she's on crack or something. is this normal? I had a male about 5 years ago and I was just taking care of him for a friend for about a month.

Little girls are more active than little boys. They are more curious and have more energy and little boys are more likely to prefer the lap of their owner to snooze on when they get older. Nothing is wrong, mind you, she is just being a typical nosey female rat! :-)
