Cockatiel Egg Sitting

Question
I have a male and female cockatiel and the female (Of course) recently layed a clutch of 3 eggs. However, I don't know whether or not the two have been mating, or if the eggs are fertilized. Will a bird sit on her eggs only if they're fertilized? If not, is there any way to tell whether they've been fertilized besides waiting to see if they hatch.

Answer
hello she will sit on them even if they are not fertilized. You can take one of the eggs and hold it to a bright light and if you see red lines then it is fertilized if you don't then it is no good.

i hope this helps, if you have any more ?s feel free to ask.
