cocatiel/infertal eggs

i received a cocatiel two years ago. i have only the one bird. last week she started laying eggs. about one every other day. is this normal? is there anything i need to do? thanks

Dear Anita,
Your Cockatiel is a female, and even without a mate female Cockatiels still lay eggs. But the eggs are not going to hatch. What I would do is keep the eggs in the cage until your Cockatiel has lost interest in the eggs. This egg laying is normal.
