20g Canthaxanthin red feathers

hello i was wondering if it is okay to use 20g Canthaxanthin red color bird feathers medicine on my bird to change my bird color to red is it safe for the bird does it have any side effects. thank you

I wouldn't color feed any of my birds, but might opt for natural enhancement with the right foods. I don't believe in taking any chances. Though Canthaxanthin is reportedly 'safe', other reports of liver damage raise just enough questions to rule it out for me.
