Safe wood

I have a perch that has wood on  it that smells like cedar.  Is cedar a safe wood for my parrots?

Well I'm actually not 100% sure as there are conflicting opinions. My advice, though, is that cedar is not safe. Since the fumes are toxic to many rodents and birds have very sensitive lungs, I would advise you to stay on the safe side and keep away from cedar.
