can you please tell me if macaws have a pouch that they store food in?

Answer
Yes, in effect all birds have a "pouch". What it is, actually, is their crop.  After they eat, their food enters this crop, a 'pouch-like' area at their right side, just below the jawline.  It's much more apparent in chicks and can swell to remarkable size when they're fed by their parents regularly.

The pouch is part of the digestive system, food here mixes with digestive juices and slowly empties into the stomach.

If a bird regurgitates to their mate or young it comes from this crop, partially digested.
