I am building a birdcage for my parrot out of copper.  Is this OK?...Thanks

Hi, Joe.  Thanks for posting your question.

I have never heard/read anything about copper being hazardous for birds, however, this does not mean that it isn't.  I recommend you search the internet for information on copper's toxicity if ingested by humans (or birds).  You can do this by performing a search on Google using key words/phrases such as "copper," "copper toxicity," "hazardous metals," or something of this nature.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help.  Perhaps another bird expert has some information.
