parrotkeets bald belly

My friend just got a 4 year old parrakeets that is loosing its feathers on its belly.What is wrong with it?

It's probably not losing feathers, it's probably plucking them out. This bird either has mites or lice (get a spray for it) or it's being self-destructive and you need to see a vet right away. The vet can tell you whether it's diet related or stress/boredom related. The bird may need new food or new toys, but really you need to talk to a vet to make sure the bird isn't ill.
