Answer
Hi, Adam.  Thanks for posting!

From the information in your post, I have no idea what the weird green things are on the shoulders of your baby keets.  You'll need to provide more details so I can see if I can help you further.

Regarding the mess in the nesting box where the babies and eggs are...yes, you need to clean the box out, however, if the 2 unhatched eggs are due to hatch soon, you can't allow those eggs to cool down or they won't hatch.  Cool down can occur in as little as 10 minutes.  Cool down is when the female isn't sitting on the eggs.  It's OK to pick up baby keets as long as you keep them safe and warm until you can put them back in the nesting box with mom keet.

If at all possible, leave the nesting box where it is and clean it without removing it completely from the cage.  You can take the babies out for a bit while you clean.  You can remove the eggs, too, but they need to go back in the nesting box within 5-10 minutes so mom can sit back on them again.  Don't touch eggs with your bare skin...use some type of glove or something so the dirt and oils from your skin don't contaminate the eggs.

You have to do what you have to do in order to keep the babies clean and dry regardless of how the parents feel about it!
