mouse diease

my mouse has been itching its self to deth!! it riped of its fur and cut its skin open in a patch  behind its neck because it was so earitated. i thought i found the proublem when i found little black bettle like bugs in its food so i got a new cage and new food but she still kept itching her self! please help me!!

have you tried applying neosporin to the area as well as buying some soothing products for animals. Your mouse could be suffering from the after affects of the ticks or mites or he could have mange mites. I would personally call a small animal vet and ask them what they think is the best option for your mouse as it could be many things and/or I would personally take your mouse to a vet just to be on the safe side, but I'd certainly call them and ask what is the best thing to do.
