Which rodent is best to pick out of : a rabbit, a chincilla, a mouse and a rat?

Hello Kristi,
technically rabbits aren't rodents they are lagomorphs. In reality it all depends on what you like best. Rats are the most intelligent out of the rodent family. Chinchillas prefer a cold environment and if you have a very loud house hold I would try to avoid chinchillas. From personal experience we've had chinchillas get so nervous from dogs barking that they would have a heart attack.
Personally if I had to choose I would buy a rabbit or chinchilla just because they are my favorite out of the 4 and I personally just love them. If I couldn't afford a rabbit or chinchilla I would buy two rats. :)
