Answer
They have healthy fur, good weight, orange teeth and are curious,interactive and social.  Knowing your animal and then seeing if they deviate from the normal is the most reliable way.  Signs of a problem (in general) are lack of appetite, sores, overgrown or white teeth, skinnier than usual, bumblefoot, or abnormal behavior for that particular animal.
