Salt

Question
I was wondering if I could use the sea salt that is sold in grocery stores for the salt water with my hermit crab.  The salt is not iodized.

Generally no. The jury is still out if it is actually harmful but anticaking agents in table salt are often made of very questionable materials. In addition hermit crabs need the trace minerals that come from the ocean style sea water that you get from mixing instant ocean or oceanic.
