Is there any possible way for hermies to give birth in captivity? also how many hermies can live comfortably in a 10 gallon tank?

Answer
It has never happened in captivity in a non-laboratory setting. It's too difficult to keep the babies alive because they live in tide pools and eat microscopic organism which we cannot easily provide or simulate.

You can keep 3-5 crabs comfortably in a 10 gallon.
