marine hermit crab

Question
I got a hermit crab from the Pacific Northwest beach in 3 feet of water.  I am looking for info on habitat and food for this critter.  It has a chocolate brown body and legs and red antennae.  Shell is 2 in by 1 inch.  

Can you tell what species and what kind of land or water home I should set up?  Much info I find is for land hermit crabs?  Is this totally inapplicable to my crab?

It does not sound like a land hermit crab. I'd suggest you take it back to the beach you got it from, as that's the best place for wild animals.
