Question
i was considering getting a small animal as a pet.  i wanted one that could sit with me on the couch and wouldnt IMMEDIATELY run off... somethign that might WANT to be with me.  i was readin on rats and how the males can be on the lazy side and sit with you for quite awhile.  i was curious of the guinea pigs attention span for staying in one general area...

any info is greatly appreciated
and thanks in advance!

Answer
Hello Tim and thanks for the question.

As small furred animals go, you cannot beat the GP for genuine affection. A GP that trusts you will literally sit on your lap and watch tv all night. Mine will gently "nip" me to say he has to go to the bathroom and then it's back to the couch.

You should search the web for Guinea Pigs. There are many good sites to let you know all about them as a pet. The most important thing I can say about buying one is buy TWO at least. They are herd animals and need at least a pair to be happy.

Thanks and have fun,
Ryan
