Growth?? Please try to help!

Yesterday when I was playing with my guinea pigs I noticed that my oldest one (5 years) had a little puss? in her eye. This morning the whole side of her face was swollen. It almost looks like a tumor but I don't know about that happening overnight. I didn't even notice swelling yesterday! The vet can't see her until Friday and I was just hoping that maybe you had some sort of idea of what could be going on. She is my oldest but still my baby.

Well, there are any number of things that could be wrong.  The simplest is that she has an abcess or something in her eye.  Unfortunately, this could also be a symptom of something more serious.  I would simply try to ease her pain by *gently* wiping any discharge out of her eye with a warm, damp, clean cloth.
