My guinea pig lives down my basement. I dont know if he needs more company or not. Is it healthy if I leave him in his cage for awhile? is he lonely? Is it physologically unhealthy? I give him a lot of loving at least once a day. But does he have to have a campanion? Or is it ok if he just stays alone.

In an idea world, guinea pigs would like with other guinea pigs. However, if you give yours plenty of attention then this isnt as neccesary.

It is best for him to live in a part of the house where there is plenty of activity though.
