female guinea pig

hi i have a female guinea pig named kasey,well kasey has had one litter of babies,but she don't seem to be in heat any more.i have marked my calendar and put her back in with the male every 14 to 16 days, but she won't let him near her what could be the problem?.its been about 8 months since she had her first babies.

this has happened to me before and is very frustrating to the owners

What i did was wait a month and leav her by herself

then put them together for at least 2 weeks

take the female out and see if her belly has grown and her nipples are swelling

If this does not work she may be to old to be pregnant again or has developed an Ovarian disease
