Question
hi, i bought 2 girl pigs for my daughters when they were 8 weeks old , weve had them for about 14 weeks, belle is a little moody so didnt think anything of it,she put on a lot of weight but we were told shes gorged on clover as we have just put her outside, so imagine how shocked i was when i went to see them this morning and descovered there was a baby there.should i seporate the mum and dad which is a shame as they love each other so much but will dad hurt the baby? and we are so tempted to holding the baby how long do we have to wait so its safe and mum is happy for us to handle it? thankyou we are not very experianced in this field new guinnie lovers !

Answer
Hello Jackie!
Yes separate them as daddy pigs instincts tell him to have sex with the mommy again well her hips are expanded. Get daddy pigs manly parts shrunken or chopped off when you can (sooner rather then later). Mommy pig and baby pig should be fine but baby needs mommy + warmth so move them inside for about a month. Daddy pig can go back with them in 35 days minimum (and after his manly parts are taken away). The piggy's staff (AKA- you) can handle the baby tommorow.
If you ever need anything else, just ask.
