bump and ball

Question
ok i have two questions me and my grandma are trying to introduce two baby gerbils we have made a fence between them and we keep switching them so that they smell each others sent. But today (being 1 week of switching them)when we tried to introduce them they locked together and made a ball and started to roll around?!?! why did they do that?oo and they are both males.

And my second question is one of my older gerbils has a bump on his nose. Me and my grandma have just noticed it and its kind of odd? what is that bump?

How old are the Gerbils, do you know?
Once they are over 10 weeks they are very difficult to introduce together!! I suggest for now you carry on as you are, switching them over and letting them get used to the others scent. There is no guarantee however, that you will ever get them to get along, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't!

When you see them locking into a ball you need to get them separated as soon as possible, because they are fighting and will actually kill each other given the chance! This means they are not happy to be together, at least for the moment! When you separate them they may bite you, only because you are interrupting them fighting, so just be aware!

How big is the bump, and what does it look/feel like? Let me know and i will see if i can help!
