Toy Materials?

I was looking at some bird toys that i thought my hamsters might like, but i wasn't sure if the materials they are made out of would be ok for hamsters to chew. Some of the materials include rope/string, rubber (the KONG toys) and a suede-like material. Thanks!

      Bird toys aren't usually appropriate for hamsters. The rubber, suede, and rope can carry toxins that are lethal to hamsters. At some pet stores they have toys made just for hamsters, my hamsters enjoy these toys very much.
