QuestionHi. Im Kiana. I have 3 female hamsters Tina,Daffodil & Daisy. Anyway Daisy is a 4 month old teddybear hamster. My sister is getting a male blackbear or pandabear hamster and since hes younger and also a different kind will the breeding work out??
AnswerHi Kiana,
Actually, a Teddy Bear hamster and a Panda Bear hamster are the same species of hamster - Syrian. Those are just cute names for a Syrian hamster :) So, the breeding should work out fine, as long as you wait until the female hamster is in heat (which occurs every 4 days). Also, be sure to place the female in the male's cage. (If you place the male in the female's cage, she'll beat him up.)
As long as the male hamster is 6-8 weeks old, he's old enough to breed.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask :)
