Question
Hi Sheila, you've been very helpful to me over the past weeks so thanks. Regarding baby (now grown up at 6 weeks) ham, I did test with diastix and the sugar was off the chart but showed no keytones. I believe the food kibble in his seed mix is made of corn so I took him off that. I have been feeding mixed millet, a few sunflower seeds, ground flax seed, sesame seeds, roasted unsalted soybeans (2 in morning and 2 at night -protien he actually eats), a pinch of oatmeal, a pinch of quinoa, a piece of a dog biscuit, and fresh broccoli morning and night. I try to encourage him to eat a soy bean in the morning before he sleeps so he has some protien in him. He drank most of his water in the daytime not at night.  His water consumption has dropped by half :)and his wiegh seems to be holding steady. I'm hoping it will continue to improve or at least remain the same. Any added suggestions. I do put vitamin drops in his water as well. Thanks again :)

Answer
Hi

You seem to be doing very well with this little fella - the only other things I would give are pumpkin and linseeds to make up the seed mix for essential fatty acids which help regulate sugar.  Apart from that I'm afraid there is little more you can do - as he is young hopefully his body will adjust and he'll go onto live a full life.

Hope he is OK.

Regards
Sheila
