Pink bump on hamster.

Hello. We have a white male dwarf hamster and we noticed that he has a small pink bump that is begining to get more noticable. The bump is located on his genital area. I am not sure what it is, but it is worring me. He also has really long nails, and has never been that active. We bought him about 4 months ago, but he wasn't tiny in size, he is about 3.5-4 inches long. i hope you can tell me what it can be. Thanks!

Hello Alex,
the bump could be a type of cyst. For the long nails you will need to clip them and i suggest that you wear gloves when doing it as the hamster will nip you. I would personally call a vet and ask about the cyst and see if the vet can look at it, especially since it's growing.
