Question
Ok so it's me again I recently asked u a question about my hamster,
Biscuit. Regarding her sneezing. Well I did what I cud to help her and I
got her sum vitamins from my pet shop. I add them to her water once
daily, however her sneezing seems to got worse! And last nite I found that
her tail was wet. Iv read about wet tail so I checked her cage for
diorhhoea and found a small amount at the top of her cage where she
sleeps. I immediately changed her bedding with the hope to make her
comfortable. This morning I woke to find her shoving all her bedding down
her tube to the bottom of the cage. Is she just getting rid of it becuz it's
dirty? She is now piling her food in the corner of her bed and going crazy
scratching the bottom. Her tails doesn't seem wet anymore an no more
dierhheoa has been found but she's still sneezing. What cud she be
doing? I look after her well and can't seem to think what I'm doing wrong.
Please help, again. Thanks.

Answer
She must get antibiotics from the vet. Baytril is the one commonly used in the UK.
wet tail will return and kill her. The reason she is sneezing is because the nose is in contact with her bottom and the bacteria is passed to her nose and will eventually turn into pneumonia, a secondary infection
Wet tail itself is a intestinal illness hence the wet vent. This will only get worse. The hamster could go down hill suddenly within 24 hours.

As for her behavior it is natural for a hamster to re arrange its bedding like this. She is making it to her satisfaction.
The scratching behavior is because she wants to escape to mate. If you have any males nearby you must remove them from the room.
Make sure she has a wheel to play in and different wooden toys to climb on and chew
