little red bugs and brown

I read your answer to a previous question about this and my dwarf hamsters definately have this problem. i bought the bird spray you recommended.  but I like to know if these bugs can be transferable to humans and if they are how do we get ride of these bugs?

sometimes but very, very rarely can humans get them, they are attracted to animals with fur. so I would be more worried about any other furry animals in the house than yourself. i've treated animals with mites and i've never gotten them myself. I asked the vet before and she said no. they prefer fur. you will have to keep the cage clean and make sure that you don't have any animals in the same room that the hamster is in.
