vet checkup

Hi, we have a syrian hamster that is a little over 1yr old and he has been in good health.  We are just wondering if it is necessary to have a Well pet checkup for them and how much that may cost.

Answer
If your hamster is in good health then there is no real reason to take it to the vet. Depending on your relationship with the local vet, they might charge you more then the cost of the hamster for a routine visit, and to me it just isn't worth it. Also your vet may not have small animal training.
