QUESTION: I have many questions.

- what is the difference between male and female ferrits?
*Behaviors, Size, and Odour.

- Pet store ferrits are already trained to use thier "litter box". But i notice that ferrits in pet stores often poop in behind it in the cage corner. If i were to take that ferrit home, I would fear that the ferrit would do that when i let the ferrit be free roam in a room or home with a "litter box". How could i prevent this?

-If i wee to keep a ferrit free roam in a room or house, what precautions would i have to take?

-is it okay to have a ferrit free roam on your home?

-How would you train a ferrit to be free roam?

-Are ferrits good with other animals?
*Like dogs, cats, or other rodents?

The only difference between male and female ferrets is size.  Females are generally slightly smaller.

-is it okay to have a ferrit free roam on your home?
It is NOT Ok to have a ferret loose in your home.  Ferrets can get into any hole that is the size if their head and often get caught behind applicances or under furniture.  You can provide a ferret proof room for them to be in, one that is safe and contained.

I never state or guarantee that a ferret is litter box trained and they do not come to a pet store that way.  Some ferrets are better at using a litter box, others are not.  You don't know ahead of time which yours will be.  Plan to have multiple litter boxes and plenty of ferret messes to clean up.

Ferrets can be Ok with cats.  They should never be left alone with dogs and ferrets are not rodents, but they do eat rodents so should never be left with any rodent or other small mammals.

I was wondering if you can give a ferret chickin or other meats (only real meat.)
I do know that ferrets can't have carbs or fiber or even candy. i was wondering if pure meat baught from the Gstore and cooked would settle okay with thier dijestive system.

We feed chicken, raw to our ferrets as well as frozen/thawed mice but ferret imprint on food very young and may not be interested in mean of any kind.  If you want to try meat, stick to chicken for now to see if they are interested.  You might want to try a little bit of chopped chicken in with some chicken baby food.  Don't worry if they won't eat it, it can take a while to get them used to seeing anything other then kibble as food.
