Toys, bedding, litter life span and spaying/neutering

What is the best thing to use as bedding?

What would be a good choice for litter is cat litter ok to use?

Whats a ferrets avrage life span?

Waht is the best age to have a ferret spayed? Do males really need to be neutered if there living with a spayed female?

I always use hammocks as their beds.  As for litter, anything without clay is fine.  Their average life span is 6 to 8 years.  Normally a ferret should be spayed before you purchase it unless you have purchased it for breeding.  So if it is not yet spayed, I would do so immediately.  No the males don't have to be neutered with a spayed female.
